Bio
After finishing his undergraduate education at Ashland University as an Ashbrook Scholar, Matthew entered the PhD program at Baylor in the fall of 2019. His primary field of interest is Medieval Political Philosophy (Aquinas, Al-Farabi, and Avicenna) and Ancient Political Historiography (Herodotus and Plutarch). His secondary area of interest is American Politics and the synthesis between Political Development and Political Thought in American history and institutional development.
