Financial Aid

For Baylor’s Political Science PhD program, tuition is fully covered and students earn a stipend while working approximately 15 hours a week as a research or teaching assistant in the department. PhD students are eligible for 5 years of stipend support (4 years if they already earned an MA degree before study at Baylor).  Stipend support is renewable as long as the student is making satisfactory progress toward the degree. (see expectations for satisfactory progress).

The MA in International Relations is a self-funded graduate program. Students admitted to the MAIR program are responsible for securing their own financial support. Funding opportunities may include federal financial aid, external scholarships, employer tuition assistance, or other resources available through the university’s Financial Aid Office.
