Graduate Awards

Every year outstanding graduate students in the department's MPPA,MAIR and PhD programs are recognized for their academic achievements.

The Stormie Lynn Schott Award is named in honor of former graduate student, Stormie Lynn Schott, who passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2001 as a result of injuries suffered in a 2 car collision that very night. She led such a strong Christian life of love and hope that her professors and friends were profoundly touched by knowing her. She is remembered joyfully every year as we present this award to a student whose interactions with their peers and professors represent the qualities of admirable Christian character and love. The Stormie Lynn Schott Award is given to a graduate student in recognition of both academic excellence and Christian commitment (see Stormie Schott Award Article, Baylor Lariat).

Awards for Outstanding Graduate Student are presented to students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance in completion of the Masters in International Relations or the Masters in Public Policy and Administration, and to doctoral students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance in the PhD program.
