American Political Thought Announces New Editorial Team

American Political Thought: A Journal of Ideas, Institutions, and Culture recently announced its new editorial team: Jack Miller faculty partner and board member and Benjamin A. Kleinerman (Baylor University’s R.W. Morrison Professor of Political Science) and faculty partner Thomas W. Merrill (Associate Professor of Government at American University) will serve as the journal’s new editors beginning this spring.
Danielle Charette, a JMC fellow and postdoctoral research associate and lecturer at the University of Virginia, will be the journal’s new book review editor.
The new team will serve a four-year term beginning May 15, 2023 and is inheriting the editorship from Jeremy Bailey, Susan McWilliams Barndt, and Nick Buccola, who have served in their roles since 2019.
American Political Thought bridges the gap between historical, empirical, and theoretical research. Published in association with the American Political Thought organized section of the American Political Science Association and the Jack Miller Center, APT is interdisciplinary in scope and features research by political scientists, historians, literary scholars, economists, and philosophers who study the foundation of the American political tradition. Research explores key political concepts such as democracy, constitutionalism, equality, liberty, citizenship, political identity, and the role of the state.
