Patrick Flenniken joined the Baylor faculty as a Full-Time Temporary Lecturer in the Fall of 2026. He teaches PSC 1387 U.S. Constitution, Its Interpretation, and the American Political Experience. Patrick has a Doctorate in Public Policy and an M.S. degree in Political Science from Liberty University. He is a retired Public High School Teacher and Administrator with 30 years of experience and holds an M.A. in Educational Leadership from U.T. San Antonio. He has his B.S. in Education from U.T. El Paso and is an Army Veteran.

Patrick currently focuses on several works that concentrate on Diaspora-Homeland Engagement. He is currently developing and validating his Observable Supportive Engagement Index (OSEI), an instrument that measures engagement of conflicting groups and nation-states. His other work includes developing a long-term peace-building initiative and laboratory, the Pax Studium, to make connections towards the study of peace that are rigorous, measurable, and actionable. His other work is a Supreme Court simulation in class called The High Court, where students compete against each other with high-profile current cases.
