Bio
Brigid Flaherty entered the Ph.D. program at Baylor in August 2019. She completed her undergraduate studies at Providence College where she graduated magna cum laude with a BA in History and Philosophy in 2016. In Spring 2017, she was a fellow at the John Jay Institute, an interdisciplinary program studying theology, philosophy, history, politics, culture, and jurisprudence within the American context. Following her fellowship, Brigid worked in Washington, DC at a legal nonprofit, where she organized conferences for law professors, as well as managed a podcast on Supreme Court proceedings. Her primary research interests are American Political Thought, federalism, constitutional interpretation, and Ancient Political Theory, particularly ethics and education.
