Dr. Kudelia Wins Davis Center Book Prize

Professor Sergiy Kudelia has been awarded the 2026 Davis Center Book Prize in Political and Social Studies for his book Seize the City, Undo the State: The Inception of Russia's War on Ukraine (Oxford University Press, 2025).

 The award recognizes the “Outstanding Monograph on Russia, Eurasia, or Eastern Europe in Anthropology, Political Science, Sociology, or Geography.” It is awarded annually by the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies  in partnership with Harvard University's Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies.

Dr. Kudelia will be formally recognized at the ASEEES Annual Convention in November.
