Brigid Flaherty Staab Appointed Assistant Professor at Assumption University

Brigid Flaherty Staab is a Ph.D. Candidate in Political Science at Baylor University, where she teaches and researches American political thought, constitutional theory, and constitutional interpretation. In the summer of 2024, she will take a position as an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) of Political Science at Assumption University in Worcester, MA. She has published in the Political Science Reviewer. Her dissertation, which she will defend in 2024, offers a new reading of Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story's three-volume Commentaries on the Constitution as a civic education project rooted in his synthesis of natural rights philosophy and common law principles. She received an M.A. from Baylor in 2021, and a B.A. in History and Philosophy from Providence College in 2016.
